The Opportunity

As the Business and Product Operations Intern, you will be exposed to all aspects of a startup business in growth mode. You will play an invaluable role by powering the sales team while building the foundation for a whole new line of business. You will gain exposure to the product team and how they operate while helping them stay focused and on track. Haul Hub is a data intensive company that requires new processes around capturing information and keeping it up to date. We need an intern to develop these processes and own data hygiene. You will spend some of your time identifying sources of information around the construction industry, and creating repeatable process to capture and maintain it. You’ll also help the sales team with connecting the dots between contacts and companies in our target market and keeping the CRM up to date. Additionally, you’ll work with the leadership on the product team to document what is being built and help communicate it internally and externally.


You will work with members of the leadership team to execute on the details for each department. You will need to be able to manage yourself in getting various tasks done. You will be able to quickly jump from department to department, and balance demands from multiple departments on a variety of special projects.

Some of the unique projects you will work on include

  • Work with online information sources to gather information systematically
  • Request information from governmental agencies
  • Create product feature descriptions and screenshots to aid in customer onboarding
  • Audit connection between Jira, Aha, Confluence, Excel roadmaps to maintain consistent understanding of work in progress
  • Define, optimize, and document processes around research
  • Aggregate contact information for members of associations and update CRM system


You wake up and go to bed thinking about data. The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

  • Strong drive to move the business forward every day
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with internet research
  • Familiarity with FOIA
  • Previous exposure to Jira, Confluence, and Aha
  • Comfortable with SQL
  • Basic scripting skills will be very helpful (Python, JavaScript / ECMAScript, Ruby)
  • Bonus points for having used Hubspot or other CRM system
